Forced Vibration

[Forced Vibration Video - 350 KB]

In forced mode, a sinusoidal forcing function is provided by the voice coil motor, causing the system to respond with a periodic vibration.

If the forcing function is too close to the system's resonant frequency, the resulting amplitude will approach infinity and our system will become unstable.
