High demand by juniors and seniors led to the creation of an experimental course titled ME139C - Managment of Multimedia Case Study Development (offered as ME199). Experimented with more "formal" project teams with the ME139C juniors and seniors serving as project managers with the ME39C freshmen and sophomores serving as project engineers. ME139C attempted to meld the development of multimedia case studies (as forms of communication and to learn about life-cycle design) with developing the skills necessary to manage the development of a multimedia project. First use of Macromedia's Director as the authoring environment for the case studies. Increased use of the WWW as a means of communicating project progress.
