The electromagnet can be used as either a voice coil to drive the vibrating beam or as a velocimeter to measure the velocity of the vibrating beam.
To use the electromagnet as a voice coil, connect the coil to the function generator.
To use the electromagnet as a velocimeter, connect the coil to a voltage measurement device.
Tip: The electromagnet can only be used as a velocimeter in free response.
