OER Recommender
Linking OER, OpenCourseWare and the National Science Digital Library
OER Recommender was a content-based recommender to provide recommendations between courses and materials in OpenCourseWare sites and generally available Open Educational Resources (OERs), including NSDL (National Science Digital Library) resources. It was unique in that recommendations could be added to any OER provider website with the inclusion of a single line of JavaScript or injected in any website with the use of a Firefox (Greasemonkey) browser extension.
At COSL, I conceived of, designed and managed the development of OER Recommender.
OER Recommender continued life as part of a re-envisioned Folksemantic Project and as part of OER Glue.
