Some of my favorite [Asian] restaurants

Recently I saw this post:

Ebisu. After a six-month renovation, this Japanese restaurant in the Inner Sunset reopened it doors Tuesday. Aside from its new looks, Ebisu now has an expanded menu created by executive chef Brian Ikenoyama (Yoshi’s, Roy’s), which features the classics as well as a robata menu. 1283 Ninth Ave. (near Irving), San Francisco; (415) 566-1770 or ebisusushi.com. Lunch and dinner Tues.-Sun.

Which got me to thinking about some of my favorite restaurants:

• Ebisu, San Francisco, California: Sushi and Japanese.
• Pacific’O, Lahaina, Maui, Hawaii: Contemporary pacific cuisine.
• Le Piment Rouge, Montreal, Canada: Chinese
• Kyo-Ya, Waikiki, Oahu, Hawaii: Japanese. Unfortunately this restaurant closed in 2007. :(
