ABOUT THE TOPIC:
The proposed Mare Island Energy Project will cost approximately $1.5 billion and will comprise a liquefied natural gas (LNG) import terminal, an LNG regassification facility, and a natural gas fueled, combined cycle power plant with 600 to 900 megawatt electrical output capacity.

The dinner meeting will address both PRO and CON on this issue. Twenty-five minute presentations by project sponsors and project opponents will be followed by audience Q&A.

ABOUT THE PRO SPEAKER:
Merv Stromberg is Director, LNG Projects for Shell US Gas & Power Company with responsibility for developing opportunities to import liquefied natural gas (LNG) into the United States. Currently he is assigned full time to examining the feasibility of building a LNG import terminal integrated with a power plant at Mare Island. (See www.mareislandenergy.com)

Mr. Stromberg has 30 years experience in the petroleum and natural gas industry, with emphasis on natural gas marketing, transportation, and business development. For the last 6 years he has focused on LNG business development activities.
