The San Francisco Section of ASME Presents:

San Francisco Section History Party

Saturday, June 21, 2003
Pleasant Hill, CA

Work Party 10am-3pm
BBQ Social 3pm

From its organization in 1910, ASME San Francisco Section has had a rich history, giving birth to a wealth of engineering innovation and spinning off territory to form other sections as California's population has grown. Please join us in preserving and building our archive of this history.

Eric and Nancy Worrell are hosting a Section History Party on Saturday, June 21, 2003, at their home in Pleasant Hill. The Work Party will run from 10:00 to 3:00. Spouses and other guests are invited to join us at 3:00 for a barbeque social.

Call for Section History Contributions:
Have you been holding on to old newsletters, audio or video tapes, financial and program reports, or other interesting records of section activities? Please check your files and contact Eric Worrell (eew1@earthlink.net) or Rich Myhre (rmyhre@bki.com) to make sure they get to the work party.

We will be sorting, organizing, and digitizing files, videotaping oral history about the section, and devising a plan for consolidating and preserving physical records and establishing a digital archive for the web site. The section history web site will include a newsletter archive, photos, videoclips, oral history transcripts, ASME Landmark dedication records and much more.

RSVP to Eric Worrell at 925-689-4579 or eew1@earthlink.net.

(P.S. If their is interest, we will have side-trips to John Muir House and/or the Jelly Belly Factory to keep guests busy until the BBQ.)
