ABOUT THE SPEAKER & TOPIC:
Arthur Lloyd will discuss the importance of passenger rail travel after September 11, 2001. He is a native San Francisco and a graduate of UC Berkeley (1984). He is a known authority on the subject of passenger rail and presently is on the Board of Samtrans and the Cal Train Joint powers Board and other rail related organizations. He has held passenger rail positions all his professional life, starting in Napa California in 1942 as a yard clerk and after many supervisory and managerial positions retiring from AMTRAK in 1991 as Director of Public and Government affairs.
