Schilling Robotics is now the world's leading supplier of telerobotic manipulator systems for underwater use, and our manipulators have become the accepted standard for offshore oil operations and remotely operated vehicle (ROV) service companies throughout the world. Since its founding in 1985, Schilling Robotics has been a pioneer in designing and manufacturing teleoperated manipulator systems and associated equipment for underwater applications. As a member of the ALSTOM group of companies, Schilling Robotics has the backing of one of the largest industrial organizations in Europe, with access to development laboratories, manufacturing facilities, and after-sales service and support.

Their latest product nearing completion is the Quest ROV. The Quest is a turnkey electric work-class ROV. The Quest is based on the Remote Systems Engine, a set of simplified and integrated ROVsubsystems developed by Schilling Robotics. These subsystems form the critical core or "engine" of ROV functions, including propulsion, control, and communication.

Learn about Schilling Robotics' history and the telerobotic industry. Find out about the design process and tools their engineerind department uses in designing their remote manipulators.
