From ASME San Francisco Section March 1998 Newsletter:

Chair's Greeting
by Brandon Muramatsu

Come join us for our two annual meetings with our local student sections. This month, we meet for the Crab Feed with the UC Berkeley Student Section in 120 Bechtel Engineering Center on the UC Berkeley campus. Next month we meet with the San Francisco State Student Section at SF State. We will be announcing the UC Berkeley and SF State Farbar Scholarship winners at the respective dinners. Both events are wonderful opportunities to meet the engineers of tomorrow. We look forward to seeing you there!

Next month we will send out our annual ballot and donation requests. The San Francisco section is in dire need of volunteers to help us plan our programs! We need your help to rejuvenate the section and keep providing exciting programs for you, our membership. Please consider joining as a volunteer to help plan section activities -- dinner meetings, speakers, tours, etc. We will also solicit support for local section dues, contributions to the Farbar Scholarship fund, and contributions to support student section activities. Please be generous, you contributions to ASME are tax-deductible. Look for more information next month.
