President Clinton's Talk to NASA

President Clinton is in the Bay Area and has been asked to give a presentation at NASA on short notice. Unfortunately, his research staffers in the White House are still learning to use the Internet and are not able to help him soon enough. He has asked if ME39C students at UC Berkeley can help him out and locate resources on the World Wide Web so he can prepare a talk about NASA and Exploring Mars.

He would like to include the following subjects in his talk:
  1. History of the United States' exploration of Mars.
  2. Information on the upcoming Mars probe and planned exploration of Mars.
  3. Was there life on Mars?
  4. Astronomy and Mars.
  5. Commuting to Mars. When does the next express shuttle leave? How can we sustain life on Mars? Now that we're on Mars how do we survive?
  6. Political implications with the Mars exploration. Who owns Mars?

Use the World Wide Web and search tools to find locations with information that can help the President prepare his talk.

After completing the exercise, here are some things to think about.
