PeerWise re: Embedded Assessment

We’ve been thinking about how to develop what we’re calling an embedded assessment service. Here’s an interesting tool for collaboratively engaging students in generating questions, reasoning and answers.

PeerwWise: A platform for enabling students to construct their own questions about the material they’re learning, explain their reasoning and share and comment on their classmates questions and answers in a collaborative environment. Kinda cool, but it “suffers” from the problem of having to go to the site (to be fair all quiz and test systems do this.)

Here’s a short video explaining what it does, fast forward to 54 seconds to hear the explanation (too bad the WordPress JetPack plugin doesn’t respect passing parameters):

And a link to JISC projects exploring it’s use: Student Generated Content for Learning (SGC4L) (and more project info).[/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]
