Got my new iPhone

I got up early this morning to pick up my “reserved” iPhone 4. This is the first time, believe it or not, that I’ve gotten an iPhone on Day 1.

I got in line about 6:30am, and by 9:15am I was inside the store paying for my iPhone 4. I figure there were like 120 people in front of me in line, and I was about halfway in the morning crowd. When talking with some folks in the Apple Store, they were hoping to be through the pre-orders by 10am when the mall opened to regular stores.

There was also a line for folks that had not pre-ordered the iPhone, maybe 125-150 total people in that line. I think about 25 folks had gotten in to the store to purchase iPhones by the time I got it. So not too bad, but it’s unclear how many un-committed iPhones they have available. (I’m pretty sure that in a day or two they won’t have more than a handful available on a daily basis.)
