How do they know…

,

So this is probably completely, totally, politically incorrect, but… something I’ve always wondered is, “How do visually impaired people know to find the signs next to doors to “read” the Braille that tells them what room number they’re at?” How do they know at what height the sign is at, or if it’s on the door, or if it’s off to the side?
