IT Salary Figures

Here’s an interesting article that summarizes some data on IT salary figures from Glassdoor.com.

When I was at COSL, one of the things I’d do was periodically scan the market to check on salary rates for the various positions we had at COSL. Most of the time I used Salary.com and a bit of common sense to see where we should be (living wage, acknowledging the type of team member we wanted, relation to industry salaries vs. academic low-ball salaries, and so on). It’s interesting to see the range of reported salaries (taking them with a grain of salt) and averages for some of the well known high-tech companies.
