OCWC Global 2011 ended on Friday, and I survived!

I was co-chair of the conference with Steve Carson from MIT OpenCourseWare.

On Friday, we successfully completed OCWC Global 2011. We had 270 registrants, and the high attendance was ~230 for Wednesday morning. Attendees came from all over the world, including large contingents from Indonesia, Japan, Korea and the UK.

We put together a pretty good line up of distinguished speakers:

  • Tim O’Reilly, CEO, O’Reilly Media
  • Salman Khan, Khan Academy
  • Susan Hockfield, President, MIT
  • Charles M. Vest, President Emeritus, MIT
  • Lawrence S. Bacow, President, Tufts University and Chancellor Emeritus, MIT
  • Robert A. Brown, President, Boston University and Provost Emeritus, MIT
  • Catherine M. Casserly, CEO, Creative Commons

Here’s some of the media coverage for the event.
